Why Storytelling?
Storytelling in Indigenous cultures is not just a method—it is a living, ancestral practice. Storytelling reveals deep, often undocumented Indigenous wisdom and brings to light the socio-economic and historical challenges faced by marginalized communities and the enduring resilience that continues to rise through them.
Integrating storytelling into our Intersectional Environmentalism campaign is essential to bridging the gap between the global understanding of the climate crisis and the lived experiences of Indigenous communities.

Our Goal?
Our objective is to create a living database of Indigenous voices—artists, activists, and storytellers— to offer invaluable insights, challenging dominant narratives and illuminating paths toward a more grounded and interconnected vision of environmental justice.

Call to Action
Are you an Indigenous artist, activist, or storyteller?
We would be honoured to hear your story—and the story of your community. If you carry ancestral wisdom and want to advocate for a form of justice that is inclusive, decolonial, and intergenerational, we invite you to become part of this platform.
Integrate Storytelling
United Rising is open to collaborations with researchers, activists, and organizations seeking to integrate intersectional methodologies and storytelling in a non-extractive, community-led way. We also offer workshops and co-learning spaces to explore how storytelling can support environmental justice efforts.
